Our Projects
Our projects grow from lived experience, cultural storytelling, and the belief that creativity can heal. Art Is My Prescription is our flagship exhibit, sharing the journey of a Marine veteran turned artist and launching conversations about art as therapy. From there, we are building Rally Point Arts, a creative hub where veterans and families can connect through workshops, exhibitions, and artistic expression. Alongside it, Help Veterans Heal extends into holistic wellness — offering pathways like counseling, acupuncture, and family support. Together, these initiatives create a network of care that is both artistic and holistic, personal and community-wide. We also continue to expand The Beauty of Culture, an ongoing photography project that uplifts diverse cultural traditions and honors the stories that connect us all
The Beauty of Culture
The Beauty of Culture is my ongoing photography and art project dedicated to honoring diverse communities while reconnecting with my own Filipino heritage. It began as a personal exploration—documenting traditions, celebrations, and everyday life across cultures—and grew into a body of work that celebrates the richness and resilience of human identity.
Past exhibitions include Featherweight: Giving Indigenous Culture a Fighting Chance, which honored the Mexica culture in San José, CA. Through these works, I aim to create spaces where people feel seen, valued, and respected, and where cultural heritage is celebrated rather than appropriated.
This project is not just about photography—it’s about preserving traditions, sparking intergenerational conversations, and using art as a bridge between communities. The Beauty of Culture remains an anchor in my creative journey, reminding me daily that the stories we share and preserve are just as important as the ones we create.
Art Is My Prescription
Art Is My Prescription is my deeply personal exhibit, born from the journey of moving from the battlefield to the canvas—using creativity as my bridge to healing. This body of work offers more than just a visual record; it opens a window into my experiences as a combat veteran, my struggles with PTSD and invisible wounds, and my path toward recovery through art.
Each photograph and piece of art is a chapter in my story—a way to process trauma, reclaim my voice, and connect with others who have walked similar roads. By sharing the “why” behind my work, I invite audiences to see beyond the surface, to understand that art can be both survival and liberation.
This exhibit is not the end of the journey—it’s the beginning of something larger. Art Is My Prescription serves as the launchpad for two initiatives: Rally Point Arts, a space for veterans to connect through creative expression, and Help Veterans Heal, a holistic wellness network. Together, these projects create a pathway for others to find community, purpose, and healing.
Veteran Initiatives
Rally Point Arts and Help Veterans Heal are two connected initiatives born from the same truth: healing is not a solo mission. After carrying home the invisible wounds of combat, I learned that recovery requires more than medicine—it takes creativity, community, and holistic care.
Rally Point Arts creates a safe space where veterans and their families can turn to the arts as a tool for connection and expression. From photography and painting to spoken word and shared storytelling, it offers a place to process pain, celebrate resilience, and rediscover identity through creativity.
Help Veterans Heal extends that mission into the realm of whole-person wellness. It envisions a network where veterans and their support systems can access counseling, acupuncture, mindfulness, family education, and other holistic services often missing from traditional care.
Together, these initiatives form a bridge between creative therapy and practical healing—providing veterans with both a voice and a village. They are designed to remind every veteran: you are not alone, and your story matters.
